The three steps
You sign up.
You fill in the form below. We call or write to you before the first event you can make.
You get training.
We show you how to ask for a hug, how to respect a refusal, and what to do if someone needs more than a hug.
You come to the event.
You get a volunteer T-shirt and a place on the team. You ask people if they want a hug. If they do, you give them one.

Regular volunteer
You're part of the organising team. You come to several events a year.
Unpaid.
Sign up as a regular volunteerPaid position City coordinator
You organise the events in your city and coordinate the local volunteers.
Paid position.
Apply as coordinator
After 5 events
You get a T-shirt with your name on it.
It isn't a volunteer T-shirt. It's your T-shirt, with your name printed on it. You get it when you reach the number of events below, as a regular volunteer.
The threshold is 5 events.
